About

About CALIBR Baseball

Baseball has always been more than just a game.

CALIBR Baseball was created around a simple idea: players deserve training that has a purpose. We combine individualized coaching, competition, technology, and real baseball experience to help players understand not only what they’re doing, but why they’re doing it.

Our coaching is faith based. Alongside training, we invest in personal growth and offer Bible study for players who want it — developing the person as much as the athlete.

Instructor

Hitting & Infield Coach | Parkland College

Matt is the Hitting & Infield Coach at Parkland College (NJCAA D2), after two seasons coaching hitting and infield at Southwestern Oklahoma State (NCAA D2) and a summer as Hitting Coach for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League.

As a player, he was a D2 All-American at Regis University — .385 / .459 / .623 career — and finished at the University of the Incarnate Word (NCAA D1). At SWOSU he helped lead the top offense in the GAC in both seasons, capping it with a .322 / .425 / .469 team line.

Matt develops hitters through force production, direction and movement patterns, bat-to-ball skills, and mechanical efficiency — building repeatable, game-transferable swings that hold up under game pressure.

Instructor Ian Yunker

Ian Yunker

Instructor

Pitching Coach | Parkland College

Ian is the Pitching Coach at Parkland College (NJCAA D2) and has coached pitching development in collegiate summer baseball. He helped lead the Parkland pitching staff to the NJCAA DII World Series, and in 2026 helped develop a staff that ranked 3rd nationally in strikeouts.

He specializes in individualized throwing programs, pitch development, mechanics, data-driven training, and arm care — and has worked with high-level pitchers who have advanced to professional baseball, including Ethan Cole (2025 MLB Draft, 20th Round) and Sebastian Khan (Capitales de Québec, 2026). He works with pitchers at all levels, helping athletes develop the skills to advance to their next level of competition.

Ian combines modern technology, individualized instruction, and a strong understanding of the game to build development plans tailored to each pitcher — developing efficient movers, quality pitches, and confident competitors, and giving athletes the tools to keep developing beyond the lesson environment.
